Tea Dance

Malanda ECD celebrates the seasons with a Tea Dance on the Sunday afternoon closest to the Equinoxes and Solstices.  For the rest of 2019 these dates will be June 23rd, September 22nd and December 22nd.

Usually the dancing doesn’t stop for anything. In this case, obviously the photographer must have been fascinating to behold.

The dances are held in our traditional CWA Hall, Elizabeth St, Malanda; dancing commences at 1.30 pm and finishes with a supper at about 4.00 pm.

The intent of these dances is to give our regular dancers from Cairns and the Tablelands an opportunity to really enjoy the fun of dancing with a hall full of friends, doing dances which they recognise.  Non-dancers are welcome to come and watch, but these are not teaching sessions.

Since we have the rare pleasure of a visiting band, an extra Tea Dance is being held on Sunday 5th May after the last Workshop, as a fitting finale of the Roguery weekend.
